A Personal Question

Are humans meant to be monogamous? Is it in our blood, our DNA?
I’ve stumbled across a number of interesting studies on the subject, and each argument is extremely adamant in its own position.
Thought I might as well contribute to the neverending hoo-ha of the philosophical situation, and pitch in my two cents.
My theory is that I suppose it falls into the category of Unanswerables. You know, like the sort of questions we’ve all heard before:
Is there an afterlife?
Do angels really exist?
Can you ensure your own personal happiness today?
Would you make it if you were trapped in a cave or beneath an avalanche for days?
Could you stay sane for years in a bomb shelter?
Will you ever develop an allergy?
Are you meant to live the monogamous life?
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… nothing is real… unless you believe in it. You have the power to breathe life into beliefs and make them yours. Is the sky really blue? Well, I don’t know if the “blue” you see and the “blue” I see are the same color—and who’s to say we both see colors? You will never fully be in my perception. Never. And I will never see out of your own eyes. Never. It is physically and mentally impossible. So I will never, ever know.
My father once told me: where there is a lack of knowledge, there is belief. That’s slowly beginning to make sense for me as well.
If you see yourself as a champion, your persistence and efforts will reward you at some point.
If you believe in the afterlife, you will judge more wisely about your actions in the Now.
If you believe in true love, you will work for it, you will bleed for it, you will live for it, and you will recognize it.
If you are prepared to be monogamous, and believe that is in your nature, that you give yourself the chance to prove it true.
If you do not believe in its truth or existence, why would you care? Why would you both? It would be game over before you even made a first move.
So, are humans naturally monogamous?
They have the capability. So maybe. I am. Are you?
