There is None So Blind by paintingsheep

In The Winner Stands Alone, Coehlo says this:

“Anyone who stands outside the Door of Problems and fails to recognize it may well end up leaving it open and allowing tragedies to enter.”

How truer could this be? It is like encasing a Pandora’s box in your hands and feeling the sprites of good and evil slip through your slender fingers without recognizing their inherent nature. It is like teetering at the brink of an abyss and watching lovely bubbles float around your face without looking down to see they are emitted from the throat of some gruesome belching demon. It is acting mindlessly, thinking soullessly, speaking heartlessly. It is walking around and breaking your nose by willingly wearing a blindfold over your eyes.

Blind mind, blind eye, blind misfortune. Thrice the charm, thrice the pain.
