Delineated AmbiguityUntitled, by Linda Stojak

An oil painting on paper of an abstract with sensual undertones so subtly suggests that innocence and awareness are delineated by the single dividing line.

Ambiguity suggested by what?

The trailing lips blackened and the wash so subtly telling of acts highly sexual for the informed and the jaded to ignore, ambiguity may be discerned by youth.

Crossing the line between sexual awareness and innocent confusions is only exhibited by the total wisdom the onlooker has assembled. The blackened trailing lips and the wash of blue based tones positioned at the center directly inscribed on the dividing line hints that sexual awareness and vulgarity has a very thin dividing line.

The line is drawn, crossing it may need courage and yen but innocence once broken can never be brought back. Ambiguity, compulsion and appeasement may come too painfully late for realization to the careworn.
