Mashkoor Raza’s Women is a painting composed with an abstract/cubist style that bears some resemblance to the techniques of George Braque and Pablo Picasso.

Each successive block or rectangle of color is part of the background silhouette, which gives the viewer something of an “altered conscious” point of view. Conversely, the faint shading combined with the bold and vivid background colors gives a minimalist perspective that merges the color with the woman’s features, somewhat subduing the intensity of both the grace of the feminine figure and the distracting array of coloration.
