“OLIVIA” by FrogFaith
She sought solace. The soft hissing of the wind between the inky green clouds of the cypress trees, between the dusty green curtains of pine trees. The burbling of the stream, the sparrows, the toads along the wet banks of the foothills. The sigh of the abandoned fruit trees bending in the wind, the shuffling of leaves as animals and birds hopped across the oranges, lemons, prunes, plums, and pomegranates. Squeaks and scuffling in the undergrowth as mice and salamanders wove their way through the grassy labyrinth. And no word or breath or curse or cry or oath or sigh or snarl from a single human being to haunt her.
In the hills she found reflected the peace that was within her all along.
