The Waiting Game II

I have been waiting for something for a while now. Several things really, all in different phases of “taking place” at the moment. I am not too bad at waiting comparatively speaking. I’m stubborn,
which makes it easier to dig my heels in once I’ve made my mind up on a position and I’m impulsive on rare (but spectacular) occasions, which makes the waiting easier on me than on most. I also like to ponder, this angle, that, maybe, hmmmm, and I wait because all you can do sometimes is wait. I’m a doer but sometimes doing just causes damage so I sit around…waiting. God, even writing about waiting is boring.
The opposite of boring and waiting is Graffiti art. It has to take place quickly so the artist doesn’t get caught. It’s usaully flashy, eye-catching, funny, and bears no hesitation because of its subversive and temporary nature. Banksy is the artist famous for taking graffiti art from something that teenage boys scratch out on walls, to a viable cutting edge art form that is respectable and financially lucrative. I love his political stand on the wall Israel erected in Palestine, a scribble of hope in a dark and dreary cement structure. Now that’s waiting on a whole other level of patience, a whole other level of holding on for hope.
